Background History

    
     Since 2003, the origin of GTS team started the geotechnical engineering work, diaphragm wall construction in Shwegyin Hydropower Project and drilling and grouting work in Yeywa Hydropower Project. After accomplishing diaphragm wall construction, the team continued bore piling work in Ruby Tower project at Yangon, and at the same time implementing the drilling and grouting work in Shwegyin Hydropower Project.

     At the end of 2004, our team was assigned to the construction of tunnel in Kun Hydropower project by the Department of Hydroelectric Power, Ministry of Electric Power, the project was implemented in Sep’05. The critical point of tunnel construction project is the technology transferring, and we had successfully shared the high underground technology from Right Tunneling Company, Thailand.

     In order to achieve more effectiveness, on 29th Jan 2005, share holders and BOD had set the decision for GTS to be registered as a separate company enable to launch independently in Geo-tech market. The first project of GTS was Bore Piling Work for Power Intake Structure in Shwegyin Hydropower Project for the period from Oct'04 to Feb'05. Then, GTS also accomplished the projects of High Tension Tower Foundation in Areyarwaddy River Crossing (Pantanaw), Hlaing River Crossing (Htantabin), Hlaing River Crossing (Bayintnaung) and Hlaingtharyar-Bayintnaung Transmission Line Project.

     For the aspect of technology, GTS has collaborated with Thailand Siam Tone Company, the branch of Tone Corporation, Japan. In addition, GTS has hired the foreign technicians in the implementation of each and every project in order to enhance the technology transferring.
